6.2.2 Uninterruptible reverse synchronisation

Function After power is restored following a power failure and CHP emergency power mode stops, the module is
automatically resynchronised to the public grid, as long as the on-site mains isolator is able to perform
synchronisation.
Power failure
The mains isolator is open, the CHP module operates in isolated mode
Power supply restoration
After the mains stabilising time has expired, the synchroniser receives the "enabled for synchronising"
signal.
The synchroniser compares the actual "mains voltage" with the "generator voltage" or the "busbar
voltage" and regulates the CHP module speed via the "higher/lower" adjusting pulses.
If the voltage, frequency and phase angle differential are within the permissible limits, then the start pulse
to the mains isolator is issued.
After switching and feedback (mains isolator is ON), the CHP module automatically enters "parallel
mains mode".
Provide this control for every module; the load stages are managed on site.
The uninterruptible reverse synchronisation is commissioned and the safety interlocks within the modules
are disabled on site.
Additional option:
Uninterruptible emergency power supply when the machine is running with optimised load (consumer
load lower than module output) available on request; load stages are managed on site.

Synchronising mains isolator with
- Motor storage drive 24 VDC
- Switch-on coil 24 VDC
- Trip coil 24 VDC
- Feedback contacts (actual ON / actual OFF)
Mains test voltage output 400 V / 6 A upstream of mains isolator
Sufcient cable (cross-section of the 24 VDC cables)
In case of problems such as
- large distances between the CHP and mains isolator
- high current drawn by the motor drive
- high currect drawn by the switch-on/trip coils
a separate on-site buffer voltage 24 VDC must be provided.
